Rilasciato in forma digitale gratuita il 14 settembre 2010 sul sito del fondo benefico per musicisti "Sweet Relief" e poi sul sito ufficiale della band. La prima escuzione di "Spangled" risale al Tour 2010 degli Smashing Pumpkins, più precisamente alla data del 7 settembre 2010 a Reno, Nevada. La canzone è descritta da Billy Corgan come 'una delle sua preferite di sempre'.
